An Xclave Special: Word from Apple (on Mac OS X Server)

Published: February 18, 1999
Site: The Mac OS Xclave
Type: News Article / Event Coverage

A report compiled after attending a dealer-chain sales meeting, and talking to an Apple representative, this article ranged from preliminary information about Mac OS X Server's shipping date.

On a side note, I actually got quite a bit more information than was included in the report, but I felt printing much of that information crossed the line into rumor mongering from reporting. Pricing, availability, machine support, and more were left out of the piece, and never disclosed to anyone at either MacNN or any other news organization. As it were, the pricing information I was given was very close to the actual shipping price.

The Mac OS Xclave: The Tweak List

Published: October 2, 1998
Site: The Mac OS Xclave
Type: Information

The Tweak List is a grand collection of technical terms pertaining to, and relevant to, the topics that the Xclave was covering. The list conservatively contains 100+ terms, but was unmanageable since the initial incarnation was based on flatfiles, and was hard to edit and maintain without making it a database application.
